The Head of the Department professor Stepan Vadzyuk,

MD, PhD, DSc

In 1979 he graduated from Ternopil State Medical Institute. On The Department of Pathological Physiology he had been working from 1980 as a laboratory assistant (1980-1981), as an assistant (1981-1991). In 1983 he defended scientific thesis. From 1991 Stepan Vadzyuk is the head of the Physiology department. In 1996 he got the Doctor of Science degree (thesis "Lipid peroxidation in the pathogenesis of thyrotoxic heart damage", supervisor prof. V. Shevchuk).

In 1998 awarded the honorary title of Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine. Prof. S. Vadzyuk was supervisor of 24 PhDs and 2 scientific consultant of doctorate.

He is the author and co-author of more than 350 educational and scientific publications.

Professor Natalia Volkova

MD, PhD, DSc

In 1992 she graduated from the medical faculty of Ternopil State Medical Institute, specialty "Medicine", then studied at the graduate school. After graduate school she worked as assistant chair of Physiology in 1995, defended his thesis in 1996. From 2002 she worked as assistant professor of Physiology.

Since 2012 the head of the newly created Department of Medical Bioethics and deontology. In 2014 defended his doctoral thesis on "The influence of low atmospheric pressure on the blood supply to the brain, the central mechanism of autonomous regulation of heart rate during cognitive activity."

Number of publications over 90.

Research interests - medical bioethics, physiology of higher nervous activity.


Associate-Professor Zyatkovska Neonila,

PhD

Neonila Zyatkovska works at Physiology Department from December 1998.

In 1982 she graduated from the Ternopil State Institute. From 1988 till 1991 she worked as a senior laboratory at Physiology Department, from 1991 as an assistant professor of this Department. In 2002 she had got PhD degree (thesis "Functional status of external breathing in different weather situations").

From 2003 to the present she is an associate-professor of the Department of Normal Physiology.

She is the author and co-author of 65 scientific and educational publications.

Scientific interests: Ecological physiology in the age aspect.


Associate-Professor Papinko Igor,

PhD

I.Ya. Papinko has been working at Physiology Department from 1995.

In 1993 he graduated from the Ternopil State Institute, speciality - General Medicine. From 1995 till 2004 he worked as an assistant professor at Physiology Department, from 2004 till 2012 – as a Seniour lecturer. In 2002 he had got PhD degree (thesis "Central hemodynamics and its autonomic regulation in young healthy persons in different types of weather").

From 2012 to the present he is an associate-professor of the Department of Normal Physiology.

He is the author and co-author of 72 scientific and educational publications.

Associate-Professor Pankiv Ihor,

PhD

He starts at the Department of Physiology in 2002.

Education: Graduated from Vinnitsa State Medical Institute in 1989, specialty - medical business.

Research: From 1997 to 1999 - studied in clinical internship at the Department of therapy FPE Ternopol Medical Academy. From 1999 to 2002 - post-graduate department of therapy FPE Ternopol Medical Academy. In 2002 he defended his thesis on "The effectiveness of complex treatment of peptic ulcer using the electrolyte solution of silver and dalargin." Since 2002 he worked as assistant chair of normal physiology. Since 2007 he worked as a senior lecturer, and since 2012 - Associate Professor of Physiology. In 2014 awarded the title of associate professor.

His research interests include environmental physiology at the age aspect.

Publications: Author and co-author of 48 scientific and educational works.

Associate-Professor Oksana Ratynska,

PhD

She has been working at the Department of Physiology as a doctor PhD since 2016.

Education: in 2000 graduated from the Ternopil State Pedagogical University named by V. Gnatyuk and received higher education in the specialty "Pedagogy and methodology of secondary education. Biology and Chemistry "and got qualified teacher of biology, chemistry, ecology valeology and ecology.

Research: from 2000 to 2016 worked in Ternopil National Pedagogical University as assistant professor of social pedagogy and social work. From 2001 to 2004 - correspondence postgraduate on Department of normal physiology Ternopil State Medical University. In 2005 she defended her thesis on the specialty 03.00.13 - human and animal physiology, name of research work "Mental capacity of students high school age in different types of weather" and received a PhD in biological sciences.

Publications: the author of over 45 scientific publications, including 2 monographs, 2 textbooks, 2 patents.

Scientific interests: the influence of weather on the physiological functions of the organism.

Associate-Professor Tolokova Tatiana

MD, PhD

In 1997 graduated from the Ternopil State Medical Academy. Since 2006 obstetrician-gynecologist first qualification category. In 2005 defended his thesis on "Clinical and pathogenetic aspects of the complex treatment of cervical background processes." Since 2009 worked as an assistant at the Department of Physiology I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University.

From 2012 to the position of assistant of the department of medical ethics and bioethics appointed head teacher of the department of bioethics and medical ethics. With 2013 chosen to contest for the position of assistant professor of bioethics and medical ethics.

Number of publications - 47, including the last 5 years - 27.

Research interests - bioethical aspects of Reproductive Health ", conservative gynecology, private medicine.


Associate-Professor Larysa Losina,

PhD

Works for the Departament of Physiology since 2005.

Education: Graduated Ternopil State Medical Academy in 1999, specialization – Medicine.

Research experience: In 2006 finished her PhD thesis “Evaluation of clinical and pathogenic factors of the development of bone tissue changes in systemic lupus erythematosus and justification of the use of a combined calcium supplement with vitamin D3”.

Research interests: Age aspect of the ecological physiology.

Publications: The author and co-author of 36 scientific and educational works.


Associate-Professor Liudmyla Tatarchuk,

PhD

Works for the department of physiology since 2013.

Education: graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University in 2010, specialty - Medicine. On December 1, 2010 began postgraduate study at the Topographic anatomy department in TSMU.

Research: In 2013 she defended her thesis on "Peculiarities of the heart chambers and vascular bed remodeling with arterial hypertension in the pulmonary circulation."

From 2013 - Assistant Professor of Physiology. Speciality 14.03.01- normal anatomy.

Research Interests: pulmonary heart

Associate-Professor Natalia Volotovska,

PhD

In 2007 graduated I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University with honors.

2008-2011 – studied for Master degree and in clinical residency; specialization – Ophthalmology.

2013 – was transferred to the Department of Normal Physiology.

2013 – finished her PhD thesis on the topic “Pathogenic features of liver damage in conditions of mechanical trauma with various degrees of severity”.

Associate-Professor Sofiia Nakonechna,

PhD

In 2007 she graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy Ternopil State Medical University in specialty "Clinical Pharmacy". In 2010 she received a master's degree in clinical pharmacy.

From September 2011 to September 2013 Sofiia Nakonechna worked as a senior laboratory at the Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacology Department in Ternopil State Medical University. From October 2013 to the present works as an assistant professor at the Physiology Department.

In 2015 she defended her thesis on «Experimental study of pharmacological properties of dense violet tricolor extract» (supervisor prof. S. Marchyshyn), specialty 14.03.02 - pharmacology.

She is the author and co-author of 20 scientific and educational publications.

Assistant-Professor Tatyana Lebedeva,

PhD

Works for the department of physiology since 2016.

Education: graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University in 2002,

Ternopil State Medical University in 2002, specialty - Medicine.

On December 1, 2002 began postgraduate study at the Department of Pharmacology of Clinical Pharmacology of TSMU, and on September 1, 2004 began working as an assistant in the same department.

Research: In 2008 she defended her thesis on " Effect of L-arginine, glutargin, N-nitro-L-arginine and aminoguanidine on metabolic processes in the damaged by adrenaline myocardium".

Speciality 14.03.04- pathological physiology. From 2016 - Assistant Professor of Physiology.

Research Interests: pharmacological properties in the pathogenesis of heart lesions.

Assistant-Professor Tatyana Kaschak,

Assistant of the department of physiology since 2012.

Education: graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University in 2007, specialty – medicine.

Research: From 2012 - senior laboratory assistant of the department of physiology. Since 2015 - assistant of the department of physiology. Since 2013 working on hеr thesis for the degree of candidate of medical sciences in specialty 14.03.04 - pathological physiology on " Mechanisms of myocardial damage with burn injury and their correction."

Education: graduated from the Ternopil State Medical University in 2005, specialty – medicine.
